Founding story

Carl and Perwez met at IMD Business School in Switzerland, where they discovered a shared passion for using technology as an equalizer in society. Their interest in Cambodian agriculture is attributed to Carl's familial ties and the potential to make a significant impact on people's lives, as farming contributes to more than one-fifth of Cambodia's GDP.
konektAgri was thus born, keeping the farmer at its core. While researching the Cambodian market, they met Sokkim, a 20-year-old AgTech entrepreneur whose work has impacted hundreds of Cambodian farmer households and Janmejaya whose technology company has worked to build credit solutions for underserved families in India.
Together, they diagnosed and developed the idea of agriKredit to solve the problem of high credit costs, so that farmers can concentrate on their job – feeding the world!
